We invited Ed Thompson ("Ed-ertainment") to our Valentine's Banquet and we are so glad we did! His presentation was awesome - extremely professional and well-crafted. He is an incredible talent that kept us all laughing, singing and thoroughly entertained. We look forward to inviting him back again soon."    —Dr. Ron Wilcoxson, Senior Pastor, First Baptist Church, Blytheville, AR

“Ed’s blend of faith and fun was just what our people needed! Thanks for making the evening enjoyable for the whole family and for helping us see the ‘lighter side’ of church life.”
—Pastor John Jones, 1st Baptist church of Ft. Lauderdale

2. “Making God Laugh”:

A multi-media concert full of comedy sketches and uplifting Christian music from Ed’s recordings (see iTunes).

“Making God Laugh” is great for the entire church family. It features audience favorites like Ed singing a song made up from words on a Mexican menu, a crazy math lesson, how to speak “Spanglish” and a hilarious medley about nursery workers, church building projects and missionaries trying raise support. The underlying message is one of “hope” as God’s love and grace cover our lives — even when we make Him laugh.

3. “Now That’s a Good Story”:

Speaking engagements feature amazing, true stories along with wonderful 2 and 3-minute videos of God at work in the lives of people.

As a third-generation missionary and president of LOGOI Ministries, Ed especially loves to tell missionary stories. “Now That’s a Good Story” is ideal for a special Sunday guest speaker, combined adult Sunday School classes, mission conferences, and midweek Bible studies and get-togethers. Depending upon the situation, it can also include some of Ed’s music and/or a comedy sketch or two.

At age 17, Ed’s music career was launched after winning a Gospel Music Association “male vocalist” competition earning a recording contract through Good Life Productions. Coming from a music family which includes some five “Thompson Family” albums while growing up, Ed never remembers a time when he wasn’t singing and performing. He has recorded three solo albums with three singles from his “Beautiful Feet” CD making Christian Radio & Retails “Top 100 Global Spins” (2009).

His first book, “Monkeys in My Coconut Tree”was a 2016

International Book Awards Silver Medal winner. He has also written five children’s books with two more scheduled for 2019.

Ed’s father, the late Dr. Les Thompson, founded LOGOI Ministries in 1968. For over 50 years, LOGOI’s focus has been to “Equip God’s people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12). Over 25,000 Latin pastors and Bible teachers are part of LOGOI’s family across 40 countries. Ed says, “I am very honored to follow in my father’s footsteps and continue the work of helping, equipping, and encouraging pastors and leaders to proclaim the Gospel in their communities.”

It’s easy to get Ed to your church or group:

To get the ball rolling, you can call 305-232-5880 and ask for Carolyn (be nice, she is Ed's mom) or by filling our this form here.

We understand budgets, committees and church processes quite well. We’ll work with you on your dates and plans while remaining as flexible as possible. We’ll usually then get you in touch directly with Ed so you can talk and determine if he’s a good fit for your event.

What does “Ed”ertainment cost?

Good question...everyone wants to know. Ed’s standard “fee” is an "amount that is appropriate for your church and event."

He does have to eat and pay bills, but he is determined to work with you and your budget. There are some typical honorarium ranges, but Ed is very happy to talk things over with you personally. Oh, he also says he gets a little embarrassed if the honorarium exceeds six figures.

LOGOI as your Co-Sponsor:

LOGOI can co-sponsor your “Ed”ertainment event by covering his travel costs to get him to you.

This would require giving Ed the opportunity to introduce LOGOI’s ministry. It’s a great way to help meet your budget...and a great help to LOGOI.
